Magic Copy uses Google Firebase to transfer your copied clips realtime to other connected devices that are running Magic Copy. While doing so, your data passes through a Google certified rules engine called Firebase Database Rules that limits any other person except you to view, make changes, destroy or share the data.
Yes we have. To quote Google's encryption documentation: "Cloud Firestore automatically encrypts all data before it is written to disk. There is no setup or configuration required and no need to modify the way you access the service. The data is automatically and transparently decrypted when read by an authorized user."
With server-side encryption, Google manages the cryptographic keys on your behalf using the same hardened key management systems that we use for our own encrypted data, including strict key access controls and auditing. Each Cloud Firestore object's data and metadata is encrypted under the 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard, and each encryption key is itself encrypted with a regularly rotated set of master keys.
It's 100% you and only you. Only the creator of the clips (the owner of the account from which the clip was copied) can access, read, modify, destroy or share the data. However, features can been provided in-app to share the data between your friends or yourself via 3rd party applications. When doing so, we simply forward the desired clip with the 3rd party application you, the user select.
